
From the plains below, a steep and treacherous staircase hacked into the stone leads up to the top of the mountain.

To the left lies the drawbridge to Castle Bloodbath; ahead lies a mysterious rounded hill or tumulus.

Two generations ago, the folk of the village in the valley sealed the entrance to the hill with a boulder, but none who lived to see that night will speak of why.

On certain nights, when the wind whips the clouds across the black sky and the stars shine red, the villagers can sometimes hear the grinding of stone as the boulder shifts …
