Barbara, I’m back! Thanks for holding down the fort while I conferred with the judges. You’re not going to believe this! A new team has entered the competition; they’re part of the CrossPlane League, hailing from the Bat-Verse, an alternate universe where all men and women are genetic clones of Bruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon. They’ve presented evidence to the ICCP Board of Directors proving that Camelot should be disqualified from the CrossPlane League entirely!
Apparently, their evidence is the factual existence of Camelot and its figures, making the Camelot team technically a member of the InterChron League and ineligible for the CrossPlanar elimination! It makes sense, Barbara – you have a team composed of genetic clones of the World’s Greatest Detective. It figures they would be able to turn up evidence of cheating!
This is unprecedented! I’m hearing back from the judges now; they’ve decided to give the Bat-Verse Team the opportunity to fence Hic et Nunc for the title! I’ve heard of last-minute substitutions, but this really takes the cake! It’s a shame that Dr. Stephan Brixinit is still the thrall of an alien puppet master – he is the owner of Salle du Brique, and I’m not sure he would go for this!
Nevertheless, it looks like we’ll be introducing a new team! Let’s do this!
Well, Barbara, I don’t know much about this team other than their names. Here comes the team captain, known as … Bat-Jerk? I’m not sure I’d want to be announced that way. With him is team coach Bat-Wiz.
Next out are Bat-Terina – I’m sensing a theme here – followed by Cat-Man and Bunny-Man.
Behind them are Bat-Urion – oh, I get the joke, okay – and Cave-Bat.
Last but certainly not least is Mer-Bat driving what appears to be a giant, water-filled battle mech. I certainly hope he doesn’t plan to fence in that thing!
