Squash Stack Studio

This is my first micro city built following the instructions and inspiration in Jeff Friesen’s (aka @jeff_works) amazing book LEGO Micro Cities. If you haven’t already gotten a copy of Jeff’s book, drop your phone and go! It’s beautiful, inspirational, and easy to follow.

Alhabor is a city that appears in a couple of the fantasy novels I’ve written. It is built into the side of a volcano, so lava is an ever-present part of city life. Scroll down for a closer view of the main lava river bisecting the center of the city.

Obviously there’s a lot of detail here. I will continue posting over the next several days with more close-ups and explanations of life in Alhabor. Stay tuned!
