Here’s my LEGO Brickheadz tribute to Huda Fahmy, creator of @yesimhotinthis. Huda is a very talented illustrator showcasing (in her words) “the musings of a slightly sweaty Muslim-American woman”. Her comics are by turns funny, sweet, hurt, and frustrated, but always honest and poignant. They also shine an important light on institutionalized racism, challenging her readers to look beyond the hijab and see the human, to look beyond what makes us different and see what is all-too-relatable.
