Now that calm has been restored and the next contenders are on the line, the referee seems more at ease. This bout will be between Gorzan of Minotheria and Malgath Greencloak of Mithrinvale.

This should be a good bout; both contestants are highly athletic and quite skilled!

The first touch goes to Malgath, who springs into his attack with amazing speed.

Gorzan scores the second touch, and it is evident from the profanity emerging from his hood that Malgath is not happy.

Now Malgath is falling back; he’s chanting and waving his arms. I see a green glow around his hand; is it possible after the insanity of the last bout that a contestant is using more magic?!

Now the piste erupts into greenery and thorny vines emerge, entangling Gorzan!

The ape-man is furious and begins chopping vines away with his terrible blade, but Malgath is not deterred! More magic ensues, now he is summoning a monstrous Plant Elemental! The Elemental is striding toward Gorzan, who is still struggling to free himself from the spell of entanglement.

Suddenly the tide has turned; Gorzan has just decapitated the Elemental! It looks like Malgath is unwilling to linger and face his opponent’s wrath; he has just summoned a huge beanstalk into the hall and is madly climbing away!

But Malgath has miscalculated his foe; Gorzan is an expert climber and is now scrambling up the beanstalk in pursuit! The two combatants have already disappeared into the clouds! It looks like this bout is over.
