Welcome to Elimination Round 2 of the InterChron League! We’ve had an exciting morning watching the BlueShift Fugitive Recovery Agency demolish the greatest swordsmen of Earth’s past; now let’s see how the greatest swordsmen of modern times fare! Their rivals will be another team from the future: the inmates of prison planet Greeble-23, a hellhole notorious throughout the galaxy for its brutal living conditions. I gather Greeble-23 is perfectly suited for the kind of criminals incarcerated there: the worst of galactic criminals. Let’s hope they can at least fence by the rules!

First out is Hic et Nunc, the team representing Earth’s present-day fencing elite. Here’s team captain and Olympic medalist Rossella Fiamingo, representing Italy. Behind her are Yana Shemyakina, representing Ukraine, and Nick Zhang, the junior fencer representing Canada.

Now here comes Soren Thompson of America and Luigi Samele of Italy.

Last out to the piste is Salle du Brique’s very own Dr. Stephan Brixinit, owner and head coach of the venue!

Here comes the team representing the inmates of Greeble-23! I don’t know, Barbara, this is a little distasteful. The inmates are all handcuffed and being escorted by heavily armed robot guards. They may be convicted murderers and war criminals, but I think their athleticism deserves more respect here in the famed Salle du Brique.

Anyway, the robots are lining them up, so introductions should be quick and easy. From left to right, they are Fuefur Syllyn, 4-LOM, Dengar, Bossk, a nameless inmate of unknown species known only as “Inmate 432429”, and Stingray. God only knows how many crimes they’ve committed among them; let’s hope they don’t add to their tally today on the fencing piste.

I will say, it’s a good thing there aren’t any representatives of the BlueShift Fugitive Recovery Agency in the hall today; as you might guess, there is no love lost between the inmates of prison planet Greeble-23 and Team BlueShift, given that BlueShift put most of them in that hellhole.
