The Floor is Lava!! This wandering warrior is wishing he hadn’t separated from the rest of his party …

I just bought the book ‘The Lego Architecture Idea Book’ by Alice Finch (aka @bippitybricks) and found about a bazillion techniques I want to try.

This MOC includes three wall-building techniques from the book, one of which I used as the lava floor.

The other techniques are the border with all its finicky little bits to make it look ruined …

… and the ‘exposed rebar’ technique in the back, lower level. Together, I think they look like a pretty classic Dungeons and Dragons trap room.

Here’s a view of the removable lava floor. In @bippitybricks book, this is presented as a wall technique. It uses a mix of standard 1x plates, 1x plates with door rails, and 1x jumper plates (turned perpendicular to the others) to make the projections. It looks cool either way you turn it!
