“We should just kill them and be done with it,” says Smilax.
“No!” cried Ingrid. “I refuse to kill in cold blood.”
“I have an idea,” says Misako. “Into the Hell-Gate with them!”
The others agree and start with the dark knight, who screams and howls imprecations as the dark magic of the cauldron drags him down into the Abyss.
When it is the turn of the sorceress, she does not scream. Instead, she locks eyes with each member of the party in turn.
“You have made a terrible mistake,” she vows. “We will return, stronger than ever!”
She disappears into the cauldron!
